So UBOB is a continuously-"working", well-oiled machine, but living 2,000
miles away and only being able to visit a few times a year means that I can
only capture so much on my digital. During the month of July 2008, this is
what I was able to come up with.
5) A new drink is born (the pink ones)! A lovechild of myself and Celtic Corner,
CC brings sexy back when they announce "The Robin". The idea is long-island
style strong, but also delicious.
6) The number one sport of UBOB ensues! Darts! The number two sport also
ensues...general hanging at Celtic.
7) Rockband: The newest UBOB activity of choice. I slithered around on the
floor and balanced atop couches to get some rockin' out pics.
8) Emulating an old married couple, God and I met up with my friend Megan
and her husband for the 4th of July festivities. We watched the EP firework
show, played Egyptian rat screw, and ate funnelcake. Not emulating an old
couple, we walked about 46 miles to the show from where we had to park our
car.
1) Jim at his usual. Phone to the ear.
He wanted to spice up his style, so during
our shopping spree, he purchased a fedora.
2) God at his unusual. He let me culture him
by bringing him to Monica's Jekyll and Hyde play in Chicago. He discovered
his new favorite bar during the afterparty. Giant, delightfully-flavored
margaritas and the shock that he'd gone to a play led to my ability to catch
this elusive creature on camera for once.
3) A few UBOB members and recruits (whether they know it
or not) made an appearance at Martinelli's Dad's pig roast.
Beanbag toss, picknicking, Fatty-petting (I refer to the cat
named Fatty), gossiping, and parrot shouldering were
amongst some of the activities.
4) Ariel's housewarming party. Delicious food, fancy
surroundings, and UBOB members galore. The Cubs worked
their way in, this time in the form of decorated celebratory
cupcakes that Paul pretended were his blue-balls
